What is a TENS machine?

TENS is the abbreviation of ‘Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation’. In TENS therapy, a small, hand-held, battery-operated unit delivers a low-voltage electrical current through the skin via electrodes placed around the source of pain.
