What is the NDIS?
The NDIS is an abbreviation for National Disability Insurance Scheme and is a Government initiative designed to support Australians with a disability. The scheme is overseen by the National Disability Insurance Agency – or NDIA – and allows individuals with a significant and permanent disability to access government funding.

Since June 2020, BetterCareMarket - registered as Bettercarendis - has been registered by the NDIS Commission as a qualified and certified NDIS provider.
BetterCareMarket assists NDIS participants with the authorisation of NDIS funds in collaboration with the NDIA. The objective is to create easy and fast access to NDIS funds allocated to NDIS Participants.

How can you claim your NDIS-allocated funds from Bettercarendis?
There are 3 ways you can register as an NDIS participant and use your allocated funding to purchase products from the bettercaremarket website.
Self-managed: you order with us and pay at checkout and then submit your claim to the NDIA yourself. Use the invoice that we have provided, as proof of purchase for the NDIA. For this process, you can just order with us online. Please register and create your Bettercaremarket customer account
Plan managed: you choose the products or equipment you are after, register as a BetterCareMarket customer and fill in all your details. At checkout, choose for the NDIS payment option. No need to pay. We will forward the invoice to your Plan Manager for payment. Once the payment is approved, the funds will be transferred to us. We will then process your order asap.
NDIA managed: you order your products on the Bettercaremarket website and checkout using the NDIS Checkout option. You will have to register first as a BetterCareMarket customer accountr and fill in your NDIS details. We will then submit the payment request on your behalf directly to the NDIA. In the new PACE system, NDIA asks to give them a call and endorse BettercareNDIS. We'll send you the instructions. Once payment is approved, we will inform you by email, and process the order.
How can you use your NDIS budget from Bettercarendis to purchase Bettercaremarket products?
Bettercarendis provides a free service to NDIS participants by facilitating NDIS-allocated funding authorization. We will do the work for you at no cost. Just select your needed products on the bettercaremarket website and we will do the rest. On the website, we’ve made it easy for you to find NDIS-funded products.
NDIS consumables
On the Bettercaremarket website, many NDIS Consumables and Assistive Technology Products are available to you. Consumables cover purchases of everyday products or items required to manage your personal disability-related needs and don’t cost much. The Consumables budget is flexible. Once an amount is allocated to your plan, you can choose how you are going to spend it, providing it is necessary and reasonable for your condition or disability.
Assistive Products for household tasks: key turners, food preparation devices, jar openers, reachers, modified eating aids, tap and knob turners, seat belt reachers
Disability-related heath supports; include incontinence products like kids nappies or pull ups, adult diapers, incontinence pads, pull-up pants
Assistive products for personal care and safety: shower commodes, shower chairs, bath aids, toileting aids, grab bars, cervical collars, hip protectors
Personal Mobility equipment: walking frames, rollators, walking sticks
Assistive equipment for recreation tasks: orthotics or braces, crutches, walking frames
