Dr. Erik Louwerens is a medically trained healthcare entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of BetterCareMarket, a leading Australian platform providing specialised products and expert advice to improve everyday life for seniors and individuals living with chronic conditions or disabilities—particularly those supported by the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme).
With over 25 years of leadership in the global pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Louwerens brings a rare combination of clinical knowledge and executive insight. His career includes leading the strategic merger of Sanofi and Aventis, which formed one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies and transformed patient access and innovation across the healthcare system.
As a trusted voice in NDIS-focused care, Dr. Louwerens ensures that BetterCareMarket provides tailored, high-quality support to people with disabilities and their carers. He remains active in healthcare advisory roles, where he applies his medical training, business acumen, and compassionate leadership to promote better outcomes across the aged care and disability sectors.

I am BetterCareMarket's IT Manager and am responsible for technology across BetterCareMarket platforms and Apps. I joined in 2022 and have contributed to all recent developments and Platform upgardes. I would describe myself as solution-driven, finding solutions to maximise customer satisfaction. Prior to this assignment, I spent 7 years at a leading technology consultant, working as a software developer.
