What is the Aequi Ankle Brace by Push Ortho?

Whether you need reliable ankle stabilisation during sports activities or if you are recovering from an ankle injury, the Push Ortho Aequi Ankle brace is the perfect solution for your ankle support. This ankle orthosis combines outstanding stabilisation and optimal comfort, while maintaining the joint in a neutral position. Ideal for supporting ankles during sports.

The ankle splint consists of a rigid shell on the medial side or outside of the ankle, a preformed foam area on the lateral side and diagonal straps. The straps allow you to tailor the compression level to your needs and comfort.

What is the benefit of this Ankle Brace?

The Push Ortho Aequi Ankle Brace has a rigid support situated on the medial side – or outside - of the ankle and has a recess for the malleolus, the bony prominence on the side of the ankle. The lateral side is made from preformed foam, which easily adapts to the individual anatomy.

The Push Ortho Aequi Ankle Brace fastens with a diagonal strap. Additional elastic straps are used to apply pressure around the ankle. These straps restrict the inversion and eversion movement of the ankle whilst allowing adequate freedom of movement to the plantar and dorsal flexion. This helps you to walk or run as normal.

The Push Ortho Aequi Ankle Brace is worn over the sock. For optimal stabilisation, the ankle brace should be worn with a laced-up shoe.

Is the Aequi Flex Ankle Support Brace comfortable to wear?

All Ankle braces by Push are made with the high-quality Sympress, a high-tech microfibre that ensures breathability material and is soft on the skin.

This Aequi ankle brace by Push Ortho is anatomically shaped for a secure fit and freedom of movement.

The brace is comfortable to wear with a wide instep and an integrated heel-lock.

It is suitable for everyday use, as well as during physical activity.

Instructions for fitting the Push Ortho Aequi Ankle Brace:

  • Wear the Aequi ankle brace over socks
  • Place the brace around the foot
  • Fasten the diagonal strap
  • Take hold of the outer elastic strap, pull it diagonally across the instep, wrap it around the ankle just above the heel, and secure it.
  • Finally take hold of the elastic strap on the inside of the foot. Pull this from the instep across the dorsum (top of the foot), wrap it around the ankle over the first strap and fasten in place. The instep is the lower part of the foot, where the strap starts.

Washing Your Push Ortho Aequi Ankle Brace

Before washing, close the Velcro to protect the Push Ortho Aequi Ankle Brace and other laundry. The support can be washed at temperatures up to 30 degrees Celsius, on a delicate fabrics cycle or by hand. Do not use any bleaching agents.

A gentle spin-dry cycle can be used: after this, hang the ankle brace up to dry in the open air (not near a heating source or in a tumble drier). To extend the ankle brace's service life, it should be dried after use, if necessary, before being stored.
