How does the thermo plate work?

The Ornamin Thermo plate has a practical design, with two compartments. Underneath the plate, there is a chamber that you fill – through a special opening under the grip - with hot water to help keep the food warm.

The hot water reduces the heat that escapes from the food out of the bottom of the dish. At the same time, the temperature has a greater chance of being maintained, as the warmth is trapped inside the lid.

Alternatively, fill the plate with chilled water to help keep the food cold.
