What is the Lifesmart control solution?

The Control Solution by LifeSmart is a control solution for glucose meters to test the accuracy of a blood monitor and test strips. 

A control solution is in fact “fake blood” that contains a known level of glucose. It is applied to a test strip just like you would with a normal blood sample, and the result lets you know how well that test strip and your meter are working.

When to use a control solution test?

It is recommended to use a control solution every time you:

• open a new container of test strips
• you have dropped or damaged the blood glucose meter
• whenever you get unusual results, either high or low

With the control solution, you check the functionality of your blood glucose monitor.

Calibrating your glucose meter with this control solution will provide you peace of mind.

Control Solution comes with 2 levels to check the accuracy and precision of the blood glucose monitor and strips.
